Plants and Trucks
Our plants are strategically located on two sites to provide optimal delivery service.
Plant number one is located in the northeast quadrant of Springfield and it is comprised of two separate batch plants. A high capacity, central mixed batch plant and a totally winterized transit mix plant combine to provide quantity, quality, and a variety of computer controlled concrete mixes. These plants are also equipped with chilled water for summer time use and heated water for winter time use.

Capitol operates an IDOT certified material testing lab at this site.

Plant number two is located in the southwest quadrant of Springfield. A high capacity central mixed concrete batch plant is located on this site and is equipped with hot water for cold weather service. New advanced water chilling equipment is currently being installed at this plant.

All locations are centrally computer controlled and centrally dispatched for optimum delivery efficiency.

Capitol operates a large fleet of modern concrete mixer trucks, that are centrally dispatched and radio and GPS monitored for timely delivery.
Computer Systems
All concrete is batched by cutting edge computerized batch controlled systems. All batched materials are recorded and printed on each delivery ticket. The system is integrated with our billing and accounting systems to insure accuracy of both the material batched, pricing, and quality.

With 40 years of experience, Capitol Readymix is powered by a highly qualified sales and technical staff. On staff are three level two IDOT QA/QC Technicians, and two level three IDOT QA/QC Technicians. The batch and dispatch crew have a total over 60 years of experience.
